A few years ago I failed to fail enough college classes so they kicked me out of Whitman College with a very useful degree in music theory and a minor in math. Now I have many prospective employers knocking on my door asking my opinion on important matters such as where exactly the recapitulation starts in Brahms' 4th symphony and could I possibly help them figure out their child's math homework problems?
I avoided the real world for a little while longer and obtained a second bachelors at Western Washington University. The second time around I studied recreation with an emphasis on outdoor recreation - very similar to music theory I know. I have decided that my hobby is collecting college degrees.
Currently I am working in the field of wilderness therapy. I spend half of my life living in the woods with punk youth hiking their asses off and facilitating change and emotional growth. It's an amazing job.
Future plans include continuing my formal education by getting a masters in sailing (prospective careers include sailing bum, sailing instructor, sailboat theif, sailboat cleaner, and plain old-fashioned street person). I will then find a large pile of money which thankfully no one will claim as their own and I will proceed to sail around the world experiencing many exciting adventures and having lots of wild one night stands.
Or I'll get a masters in counseling or social work. We'll see.
I am an Aries who has only recently grown into some of the typical traits of an Aries. People give me knowing looks when I tell them I am an only child - but then they never tell me what they mean by those knowing looks. I was spoiled as a kid, but feel like I was given enough responsibility and work ethic to not let it go to my head. I like summer camps - a lot.
I like learning for the sake of learning. School life compliments me. My life is always much more organized when I have too many things to do, too many things to see, and too many things to try.
I have the best birthmark in the whole entire world.
I misspronouce words and mess up metaphors. Deal with it.
